must-have of the season! x.
Don’t let ANY dire or frustrating citcumstance stop you from achieving your dreams. YOU can do ANYTHING.
This video is about an amazing and humble young man I met in Uganda in 2008.
His story is extremely touching, and inspiring….please watch….THEN…
Just this morning, I received an email from my “sister” in Kampala…..and this is what the email said:
“Hi Kate…
Did you know that our Joseph - Mr & Mrs Kabagambe - has almost graduated from Uni with a degree in IT?
Over and above that, he developed a software programme that was submitted and picked up by Google Maps for their University.
How amazing is he?
And that’s after many tearful moments when he thought he was a failure…”
AMAZING!

How photography is changing….with or without you.
Uncharted Waters
Moving back to Canada after spending a year and a half in Uganda is a tough transition.
Not only because we have to get used to the weather again…but the move has a dramatic effect on our work.
Accustomed to the high energy, emotionally challenging work of photojournalism….we’ve had to readjust our work mojo and channel a much softer approach.
All this without losing our edge of course.
So….weddings, family portraits, and newborn pictures it is.
But instead of fighting the transition, we’ve found a beautiful blend in styles.
Our photojournalism approach to taking pictures translates in a most raw, beautiful, and honest way.
Exactly the type of photography, videography, and design we are in love with.
The journey has just begun, and now with the addition of one exceptional baby boy to our little unit….a whole new wave of inspiration merges with an already overflowing reservoir.
The adventures continue.
I hope you find this blog inspiring, funny, raw, and beautiful.
